Astral Claw Assault Squad Close up Images - Commander
Here are the close shots of the Assault squad for my Astral Claws. This is the first guy. He is made up of quite a bits the main body is from the Sanguinary Guard from the Blood Angles kit, the jump pack is from the normal Space Marine Assault kit. The Combat shield is a normal bolt pistol arm with a Tau drone and the spear is from a High Elves kit and I pined it to a Space Marine army. The head is made from two different bits, the helmet is from the Warriors of Chaos box set, and the plume is from the Eldar Dire Avengers Aspect Warriors kit. The shoulder pad of course is from Forge world and the other is from the Sanguinary Guard kit.
Astral Claw Assualt Squad
So I really wanted to to go with a Spartan feeling for this Assault Squad. I love the idea of this army being influenced by the Roman Empire and the warring European tribes, of old Terra and that the Assault Squad for this army draws on the heroic tales of Spartans. Check them out I hope you like them. I will post more close up images this week :)
Battle Fleet Gothic
So... I have been working with my gaming group to start a new campaign for warhammer 40k. We have decide for the campaign rather then cities we should have battle ships for our capital markers. Which got us all excited to play Battle Fleet Gothic. Which is an amazing game and the best part is the rules and codexs are free online at the GW site. I got so excited that I went out and bought fabric that has sparkles to lay over the table and I have been building planets and other markers. I will be sure to post some battle reports later. This image is of part of my fleet they are not finished yet but I was excited to show them off so here they are :)
